Hi! I’m Liz, the baker and owner behind Sift and Sip!
While my business officially launched in the fall of 2020, I’ve been baking since I could hold a spatula! Sift and Sip was born after my friends convinced me to start selling my bakes, and the name came from my signature Irish cupcakes that are made with Guinness, Jameson, and Bailey’s Irish Cream. Baking with a splash of booze has always been a fun way to create unique and delicious flavor profiles!
I specialize in decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, oatmeal cream pies, and more. I take custom orders year around, and I find them to be a beautiful celebration of life’s milestones, small business wins, and everything in- between.
Along with custom orders, wife and I make seasonal simple syrups (perfect for cocktails!) a few times a year. I also host holiday pre-sales, pop-ups at local businesses, and cookie decorating classes. I love teaching and aim to create a fun, creative space for anyone who wants to try their hand at cookie art!
When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find me experimenting with new cocktail recipes, exploring San Antonio’s food scene, listening to Taylor Swift, reading, or cuddling with my two dogs while watching Law and Order: SVU.
